Isabella Solórzano is a sophomore at Washington University in St. Louis, majoring in Economics & Strategy and Business Analytics. She serves as a Peer Financial Educator, where she helps develop workshops and educational materials aimed at improving financial literacy among students and empowering them to make informed financial decisions during college and beyond.

Isabella was inspired to become a Peer Financial Educator through her personal experiences growing up in Nicaragua in a business-oriented family, where she saw firsthand how financial knowledge, or the lack of it, can shape opportunities and long-term outcomes. Her interest deepened after experiencing financial fraud during her first year of college, which reinforced her belief in the importance of accessible, practical financial education for students.

To Isabella, financial well-being means having the knowledge, confidence, and tools to make intentional financial decisions that support both present needs and long-term goals. She believes financial well-being is not just about managing money, but about reducing stress, creating stability, and expanding opportunities for individuals and families.

Outside of her academic and professional interests, Isabella enjoys connecting with new people, mentoring others, and staying involved in leadership roles on campus. She is passionate about community impact, personal growth, and using business as a tool to create meaningful change.
