Kayla Rambod-Sarrieu is a sophomore at WashU majoring in Cognitive Neuroscience and Political Science, with a minor in Philosophy. She was inspired to become a Peer Financial Educator because, as a first-generation college student, she experienced the hardships that come with not having strong financial knowledge, which is why she is committed to ensuring that other students can seek support where needed, gain financial skills, and strengthen their overall financial well-being. Kayla is particularly interested in the connection between financial well-being and mental health, and she strongly believes in helping students reduce their financial stress.

To her, financial well-being means having the knowledge and resources to understand one’s own financial decisions and the ability to feel confident and comfortable applying them to their lives. Outside of her academics, Kayla enjoys skiing, painting, and playing the guitar.
