Yuliya Kolinkovska is a sophomore at WashU majoring in Accounting and Economics and Strategy. As a first-generation student, she was inspired to become a Peer Financial Educator after experiencing firsthand how inaccessible financial information can be. She is passionate about helping students build their confidence in managing finances and hopes to make financial knowledge more accessible and approachable. In addition, she sees this opportunity as a way to strengthen her ability to communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and comprehensive way while supporting students’ financial well-being.

Yuliya defines financial well-being as one’s ability to have the proper tools to make optimal financial decisions that will ensure stability. She also believes another component of well-being is building and maintaining good financial habits that promote an individual’s sense of security around money. Outside of her academic and professional activities, Yuliya enjoys running, playing badminton and piano, and building LEGOs.
